2020-21: A Discussion with Senator Sam Nunn and Author Dr. Frank Jones

November 19th, 2020, 1:00 - 2:15pm EST

The Sam Nunn School of International Affairs at Georgia Tech invites you to join us on Thursday, November 19, at 1:00 p.m. for a special event with Dr. Frank Leith Jones, author of Sam Nunn: Statesman of the Nuclear Age, and special guest, former Senator Sam Nunn.

Dr. Jones will discuss his forthcoming book and highlight several areas of Senator Nunn's leadership in his public service career. Dr. Jones and Senator Nunn will also engage in a question-and-answer session.

This kick-off event for the 2020-2021 Policy Forum will consist of a high-level dialogue on the challenges and opportunities for reinventing U.S. leadership of transatlantic relations. This session will take up the charge of assessing opportunities and directions for reinvigorating the European alliance and working with Russia in the face of fundamental and ongoing challenges that include BREXIT, defense burden-sharing, migration politics, tension over trade and economic recovery, geopolitical pivots towards East Asia, contending approaches to energy diplomacy and Iran, and the general fraying of multilateralism. This event will last for 75 minutes and will be co-hosted by the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace.
